Finally my BLOG is ONLINE!!
Powerful image….powerful story…..
I have been anxiously waiting for weeks to launch my blog. If you know me, you know that everything I touch that reflects me or my image has to be perfect. So you can imagine the stress of selecting the “perfect” image to launch my blog.
This image was taken for her dad who is now off to war. Telling the story of this family and the range of emotions they are experiencing was phenominally compelling for me. When I captured this image, I knew it was the one. Travis know that you, Katrina and Emory Jane are in our prayers constantly. Thank you for allowing me to tell and share your powerful story. Never can we repay you for your sacrifices.
Thanks to my great friends Lori Nordstrom www.nordstromphoto.com and Vicki and Jed Taufer www.vgallery.net for pressing me to launch this great communications tool. DeWayne and I had the tremendous opportunity a few weeks ago to travel to Vicki and Jed’s studio in Morton, IL to help then christen their new education facility for photographers “The Haven”. Lori Nordstrom, Ann Monteith, Jeff and Julia Woods and Sara Petty all joined us for the three day celebration of learning.
As I reflect on the past 20 years and the changes we have and continue to embrace in the photography industry - I am more exhilarated today than ever before. Digital technology coupled with the internet has opened a wonderful new world of creativity and communication available to our clients and friends.
I have LOTS to share so buckle up but I must prepare now to repack for my next great summer destination. My clients have the most fun and travel to the most incredible places for summer vacation. Of course, no real summer vacation is complete without Lori Grice Portraits!

Happy Birthday Blog! When I launched this blog last year I had no idea how popular it would become. Thanks to you in just one short year my blog has become one of the most widely read photography blogs in the world! Is the internet amazing or what? I really appreciate all of your comments and suggestions. Yes I know many of you are addicted and I promise to make next year's entries even more touching and exciting. Hope to see all of you in the studio SOON!
