Dad and I love to ride our bikes together on the Blind Willie McTell Trail.  This Saturday we rode on the trail and I took pictures to share with you.  Have you ever walked, ran or ridden your bike on the trail downtown Statesboro?  The trail starts  just down the street from my house and mommy’s studio on East Main Street and takes us all the way to Fair Road at Wendy’s.  There are lots of fun things to see.  Students from the college made most of the cool benches.  It is so cool and it is hard to believe you are in Statesboro.  Tell your dad you want to ride your bike there with him soon! (It took over 10 years to complete this green space - bike and walking trail that was designed to connect downtown with the university.  The trail has exceeded our expectations and proved to be very much worth the wait.  It is named after a blind musician Willie McTell who wrote the song “Statesboro Blues” which was made famous by the Allman Brothers.  It is a fitting tribute to a remarkably talented artist.  The trail has become the entrance to our historic downtown which ironically is becoming the center for cultural activities in our region.  From great restaurants with wonderful live entertainment, quaint shops to art galleries anchored by the Averitt Center for the Arts downtown Statesboro has come back to life!  We ride or walk the trail weekly and when it is cooler try to do it daily as our schedule allows.  DeWayne and Edie Grace took pictures today as they rode the trail.  This was Edie Grace’s idea.  She wanted to share the trail with all of you in hopes that you will discover this fascinating bike and walking trail.  I placed bi line credit on the photographs so you could see the ones Edie Grace actually took herself.  She is six years old.  I am even stunned at how amazing some of these pictures are.  It really proves how environment effects a child and the advancement of digital photography.  The trail begins at the intersection of East Main and Savannah Avenue at the intersection of Rail Road Street and ends at Fair Road and Zetterower across from Farmers and Merchants Bank and Wendy’s restaurant.  We hope you will take time to enjoy this hidden jewel soon - Lori)

Edie Grace and her memaw have a lot of fun together!  And FUN, AND FUN, AND FUN!!  It is so Fun to be at her house.  We have a lot of fun going to the park and sometimes we eat a picnic there at the park.  Memaw Edith enjoys having me at her house.  Sometimes my cousin Alyana comes from Atlanta Georgia.  One time we went to Six Flags together.  Six Flags Over Georgia.  Alayna is always happy to see me at Memaw’s Edith house.  I am always happy to see her at Memaw’s house.  We are having a lot of fun.  I have not seen her since we went to Six Flags Over Georgia together.  Memaw Edith doesn’t have any cats or pets.  She has a neighbor who have a bunch of pets.  Mrs. Susan her neighbor has a pet dog named Lindsey.  Her neighbor with a pool and a slide have a pet cat named Max. Max claws everyone who touches him but me.  I do not know why?

All my other memaws will be freaked out about their name not being on the blog.  My other memaws they love my blog too.  So here are their names, Mommy’s mommy, memaw Edith, memaw Cathy, Granny Grace, little nanny and big nanny, and grandma Frances.  I will tell you more about each of them later.  Have a fun day!
