We started this emotional exploration of art as a mother’s day promotion.  It is part of our year long 20th anniversary celebration for me and the studio.  I thought it would be fun to look back over the 20 years of my career and have clients share their stories with all of you of how their “Lori Grice” portrait has impacted their lives.   Since the month of May is about moms, we wanted to do something extra special for all the moms that touch our lives & enrich them every day….

However, as the deadline approached many of you asked for more time.  Since the stories we had received to that point were so powerful - we decided to extend the deadline to this Friday, July 13.  You have a few more days to email your story to me.  We are giving away some great prizes to the top 20 finalist. 

The most moving story will receive a 24×30 canvas Family Legacy Portrait which includes a design consultation with me, the portrait session and the portrait.  In addition the winner will receive a full day at my favorite spa - Serenity Day Spa, Zoom whitening treatment from my favorite dentist (and step father) Dr. Larry Hubbard, and dinner for two at my favorite restaurant - the Blue Moon.  TOTAL PACKAGE VALUE - OVER $2,000.

This idea began a few weeks ago, in Forsyth Park, when a mom told me a story about what her beach portraits have meant to her since the loss of her dad
that has forever changed my life.

Another mom told me once that the portrait of her cuddling her newborn son literally helped her survive postpartum depression.
And you?ve all heard my story over & over– that if I had died from cancer when I was diagnosed, my daughter, 14 months old at the time, would only have memories of me through portraits.

So… what is your story?

Thanks to all of you who have entered and shared your story.  These have inspired and motivated me to work harder for you.  You understand my difference and have accepted and applauded my gift of photography.  You have celebrated this gift and allowed it to touch you and your family in tremendously powerful ways.  WOW..isn’t that incredible?

In the twenty years that I have been creating portraits I believe there are some more amazing stories just waiting to be shared. Share them with us, and we may just share them with the world!
