Miles Mud Today a little man named Miles made my day - maybe even my year…because thanks to me today was the “BEST DAY OF HIS LIFE!”  Today I captured life as it happens - real life some call it - in Miles perfect world.  Yes it was a perfect day for Miles.  I replaced my normal business suit (yeah right) - with blue jeans and flip  flops so I could properly experience life in Miles world.

Miles I have to let you in on a little secret.  When I first photographed your mom and dad over six years ago I knew that God had a special plan for them.  They were such a cute, sweet and smart couple (two engineers can you imagine how organized their life must be?).  Courtney and BrandonI said a little prayer after meeting them that someday soon they would be blessed with an amazing baby.  I knew they wanted this so much and I also knew they would be really cool parents. But it was not until meeting you that I realized how incredibly blessed your parents are.  I also realized that you were going to be a really really cool young man.  I remember your first Christmas and of course your first meeting with Santa in my studio.  You were such a gift!  They way you responded to Santa - your little face lit up, your eyes filled with excitement. Miles Santa I also remember the joy, love and pride of your parents as they celebrated and enjoyed this very special moment in your life’s history.  Then earlier this year we created a beautiful family portrait at the Georgia Southern University’s Botanical Gardens   This portrait is special because it was in the same place that I had photographed your mom and dad that first time.  Today, however Miles - I got to see you FULL THROTTLE.  You allowed me into your world and WOW what a FUN world it is.  You are everything Miles I knew you would be and so much more.  Thanks Miles for letting me in and allowing me to help play a small role in making this the best day of your life.  I learned today Miles that every time I get to see you along with all the other handsome little boys and beautiful little girls through the lenses of my camera - peering into their world - it is the BEST day of my LIFE.Courtney and Brandon 2007

Miles mom was one of the first to call when she received the email about the Puddles and Playhouses limited edition express session.  She knew that this was perfect for Miles.  They have recently built a new home and the back yard has been pretty much one big mud puddle for Miles to enjoy.  Recently, however they sod their yard and the puddle went away.  One of her favorite memories of Miles was in the puddles.  So being the cool mom that she is - she loaded up Miles along with his favorite mud puddle boots, mud puddle hat, mud puddle shovel and mud puddle rake and drove him an hour from Savannah to come play in the mud with me.  Now that has to be the coolest mom in the world - don’t you agree?  When mom and dad saw these images in one of our theaters at the studio in a slide show, with the perfect music - they again were reminded how lucky they are to be exposed to Miles world on a daily basis.

We are working on a storybook album for them so they can enjoy this day for the rest of their life.  I will share a few of the 012images and a sneak preview of the album.  With their permission - when we finish the album maybe you too can get to see how incredible “the best day of Miles life” really was.  Courtney - I know that his glasses slid down on his nose drives you insane - but I had to share this here.  It totally and completely sums up for me this amazing day in one incredible image.
