WISH LORI A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODAY!!
Today is Lori’s 38th birthday. She is spending the day with Edie Grace and me in Florida - but she would like nothing more than to hear from you. Birthday’s have always been very special to Lori. This birthday is especially special because it marks the date of her first cancer surgery five years ago on her 33rd birthday. I am not sure why God has blessed me so richly to have a wife so unbelievably special as Lori. Every day is challenging, creative and exciting in a wonderfully special ways - thanks to her. Each month Lori spends hours hand signing and writing a personal note to you, your spouses and children. In fact, last year Lori signed and mailed over 2,500 birthday cards each one including a gift from her. This is the fourth year that Lori has done this. Every month several of you call or email Lori to thank her for the card and let her know that she was the ONLY person to remember you on this special day. I am stunned at how few people take the time to celebrate one of the most special days in your life - the day you were given life.

Happy Birthday Blog! When I launched this blog last year I had no idea how popular it would become. Thanks to you in just one short year my blog has become one of the most widely read photography blogs in the world! Is the internet amazing or what? Happy Birthday, Lori. We enjoyed meeting you and your family at Discovery Cove. Boy–what a day that was, and apparently you all continued with even more incredible adventures. We did go to Sea World afterall and closed the place down Monday night. Joy and Nell rode the Journey to Atlantis 6 times. I could only handle it three times. The shows were great and we are home safe in Texas now. I’m glad you all are having such a wonderful time together celebrating your special day. Wow - what a birthday! You really had a special day……I’m so glad it was special both for your birthday and such a special anniversary of God’s miracle in your life. We have had a great summer but are grieving the end of it as we enter my busy season of getting fall everything off and running. Thank goodness we had such a special 4th of July at Tybee - never told you how much we enjoyed that experience and seeing fireworks across the water every direction we looked! We had a great Daytona vacation with family though things are changing rapidly as his parents age and we wonder if this was the last…Ya’ll take care and we’ll try to get together soon.
