Family reunion…
Few traditions are more sacred in the south than family reunions. Last weekend DeWayne, Edie Grace and I attended the annual Wilson family reunion in Glennville. This is the largest and one of the most organized family reunions I have ever attended. No where have I seen more hard to resist home cooking than at this reunion. DeWayne’s grandmother was one of NINE Wilson siblings. Five of them are still alive and four of them attended the reunion this year.
It really is wonderful to see so many family members and catch up on their lives. You can understand how deeply rooted southern families are and how well they stick together in times of feast or famine.
If you live here long enough you will learn that almost everyone in the area is related in some way.
This is one southern tradition that I am happy is alive and well!
p.s. Only the Senior family members eat inside…I forgot to take a picture outside…what a crowd!

Happy Birthday Blog! When I launched this blog last year I had no idea how popular it would become. Thanks to you in just one short year my blog has become one of the most widely read photography blogs in the world! Is the internet amazing or what? I really appreciate all of your comments and suggestions. Yes I know many of you are addicted and I promise to make next year's entries even more touching and exciting. Hope to see all of you in the studio SOON!
