Over 20 years ago I photographed my first senior session.  Long before I began my business I was the photographer for the yearbook in high school.  Serving on the yearbook staff gave me a real understanding of what it takes to produce a year book and how important year book pictures really are.  Recently I attending my 20th high school reunion.  I received an entirely new appreciation of the importance of GREAT high school pictures.  At the registration table, the host had copied pictures from our Senior yearbook and made name tags for each of us.  OMG!

Many of the seniors I photography now are ones that I have photographed from birth.  Yeah I FEEL REALLY OLD!  Each year I take on a fresh new crop of 25 seniors so I can dedicate the time to each one of them in order to tell their story.  This is one of the most important sessions - because if is their first step into independence.  I walk the line with mom and the senior - creating a balance with how mom sees them and who they really are.

No other area of photography has been impacted more over the past few years than Senior Photography.  There are so many more creative options now.  In addition, the Internet has opened up an entirely new medium of community and communication.  In keeping up with technology I have launched my own Myspace page with the help of Savannah Arts Academy student Brandon James.  Of course, you will find him in my friends list there!  Check out my MySpace page here.  Every Senior Session I create this year will include images for Facebook or Myspace.

I am using this to communicate with my seniors and allow us to connect to share my images both past and present.

Above is a session I did a few weeks ago for a beautiful young lady that I have photographed since she was TWO.  She is so beautiful and so much fun.  Her mom is super cool and a blast to be around.  The bond these two share is really incredible.  (The baby in the slide show is her nephew - BTW)

In this preview of an an entire senior session you see how creative and fun they are.

If you know a senior and think they may be interested in experiencing my difference - please have them call or email to get on the list today!  Several seniors missed out last year. As you watch the slide show - you will better understand why I limit this service.  It takes LOTS of time to do it RIGHT!  Enjoy!
