Last night was the first game of the season for the Harrison High HOYA’s.  My cousin, Garrett Reed was a member of the HOYA’s and he was tragically killed in a car accident on January 24th.  The HOYA’s honored Garrett and his family at the game by presenting his mom,dad and brother with a plaque honoring him.  They also allowed his brother Carter to wear his jersey and made him the honorary captain for the game.  Throughout out the game, fans, players and coaches held up the 11 sign to honor the memory of Garrett.

We traveled up to Powder Springs to attend the game with other family members.  It was a powerful and touching tribute to a wonderful young man.  We miss Garrett deeply and are honored that his memory continues to impact so many lives daily.

Summers seem to get shorter and shorter…and Edie Grace is growing up WAY to fast!  Many of you have told me to savor every moment of Edie Grace’s childhood – because it will be gone before you know it!  First days of school have become a tradition of daddy/daughter photographs.  In just five years of “formal” school I can not believe how much she has changed.  Enjoy these photos as we walk back through photographs of a her First Day’s.  DeWayne does have more than one shirt.  It seems that he is wearing the same color shirt – but obviously it is not the same size each year.  He jokes that it seems Edie Grace is not the only one growing.

She will miss Mrs. Royal and Mrs. Bradley  – but is so excited about moving forward this year with Mrs. McCall.  Her cousin, Brooke had Mrs. McCall last year and she LOVED her.  I know Edie Grace will also.

I was honored to photograph Savanna and Brian’s wedding this weekend at the Mansion on Forsyth in Savannah.   The wedding was beautiful and this couple and their families were such a joy to work with.  I have been photographing Savanna and her family since she was a little girl. 

After an phenomenal honeymoon in Antigua – they will make Savannah their home.  Savanna in Savannah…..and Brian too.
