$99 Baby’s First Year

Tag: Babies First YearLori Grice @ 9:39 pm

Toomer_Christy 3 [1024x768] Earlier this year we had a soft launch of our new Baby’s First Year program.  The response has exceeded our expectations!  Even in these challenging financial times – babies keep coming – THANK GOD!   Many of you have asked me to implement a plan that would cover the first year, with multiple sessions included, with NO sitting fee and NO minimum order, a custom designed album at the end of the year and you want it to be affordable – preferably with LOW payments spread throughout the year.  I LISTENED and now you can get what you have asked for!  For only $99 per month, you will be enrolled in our plan.  The plan will include a minimum of four full – custom sessions (we recommend beginning with expecting but the plan can be modified to suit your needs) and a custom designed 8×8 leather album at the end of the year – documenting artistically your baby’s first year – all for only $99 per month for the first year.  I must limit these to 10 per month initially – so if you are expecting – call us at 912-764-7274or email me at info@lorigrice.com today to sign up for our $99 Baby’s First Year plan or to get more information.Side 1

Survivor Fest – First Friday at the Emma Kelly

Tag: Cancer Advocacy and Healing ArtLori Grice @ 9:22 pm

IMG_5225 Don’t miss the first of what we hope to become an annual celebration of surviving cancer – First Friday in October (Friday, Oct. 2, 2009) 6:30pm at the Emma Kelly theater in Downtown Statesboro.  We (Lori Grice Photography) are sponsoring this celebration concert – so it is Free to the Public.  If you are a cancer survivor, caregiver, relative or friend of a cancer survivor – come CELEBRATE with us.  No matter where you live – come join us.  We hope to pack the house and rattle the windows with our joyful voices of celebration.

The concert features four community quartets – One Voice (First Baptist Church), Light House (Primitive Baptist Church), group from Pittman Park Methodist Church and a group from Brannen Chapel.  The concert will include a sing-a-long session as well.

This event provides a wonderful opportunity for survivors to get together as a group and celebrate LIFE.  We have so MUCH to be thankful for!

A special Thanks to Eddie Olliff for coordinating this incredibly special event.

Now restoring old photos

Tag: Regency Photo Lab OffersLori Grice @ 8:10 pm

COLLINS BEFORE COLLINS AFTER Need a really cool gift idea for a birthday, anniversary, Christmas or just because?  Get those old photo’s out of the shoe box and let us restore them back to their original condition.  Since launching this service we have been AMAZED at some of the magic uncle Gil has worked on these.  Below are just a few examples of before and after restoration projects.  Best yet, the restoration starts at only $80.    From old damaged prints, to water damage images, to prints stuck to glass – the magic of restoration will surprise you!

I am so sure that you will be so THRILLED by the results that I am personally guaranteeing the restoration with a money back guarantee.  If you are not 100% satisfied – you pay NOTHING!

In addition to restoration, Gil also offers slide transfers to DVD.  You can bring in your old slide trays and he will professionally scan them to a DVD so you can print images from them or make a DVD slide show.  This is a great way to archive, protect and bring back to life memories stuck in your closet.

Due to the amount of work involved in restoring images and transferring slides to DVD – we are limited to the number of orders we can guarantee by Christmas.  Please bring your images to the studio SOON so we can make the Christmas deadlines!

Tim Durden_E09 [1024x768] I photographed this GSU Super fan family for their ad and Sea Island Bank’s ad in the End Zone magazine.  End Zone is the official program book for GSU football.  The magazine is produced by the same great folks that bring you Statesboro Magazine.

The dad in the the picture is Tim Durden who played for Georgia Southern under Coach Erk Russell.  Tim owns Tim Durden Construction company and actually built the bridge over “Beautiful Eagle Creek” which make these pictures even more special.SIB Endzone Ad [1024x768]

Remembering September 11, 2001…

Tag: PersonalLori Grice @ 7:08 am

P7210161 My generation doesn’t have as many “do you remember where you were when” as my parents or grandparent’s generations do.  In fact, I was born only days after the first Moon Walk and years after JFK’s assassination.  My generation does have, however, two shuttle explosions…hurricane Katrina…and of course….September 11th.  (and others…)

This summer I visited New York City twice for work.  I had not visited the city since September 11th.  New York City is one of those cities you either love or hate…I LOVE it!  I liked it before, but going back this summer I experienced a “new and improved” New York.  Many of you have experienced that too and had shared your thoughts about it with me over the last eight years.  I believe that September 11th was one of those days, as terrible as it was, that helped remind us all that we share this planet and need to work harder to find ways to share it in peace.P7210162

I “Googled” peace quotes…to help remind me today (and everyday) the importance of letting peace be something that I CAN still hope and pray for…ultimately it starts in each one of our hearts.  Here is some of what I found:

How blessed is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding… Her [wisdom's] ways are pleasant ways, And all her paths are peace. (Proverbs 3:13, 17)

If man does find the solution for world peace it will be the most revolutionary reversal of his record we have ever known.
George C. Marshall

If you want peace, stop fighting. If you want peace of mind, stop fighting with your thoughts.
Peter McWilliams

Peace is not a relationship of nations. It is a condition of mind brought about by a serenity of soul. Peace is not merely the absence of war. It is also a state of mind. Lasting peace can come only to peaceful people.
Jawaharlal Nehru

Peace has never come from dropping bombs. Real peace comes from enlightenment and educating people to behave more in a divine manner.
Carlos Santana

P7210164 September 11th changed us all…forever.  It changed me.  As I watched TV that morning and saw the 2nd plane hit the WTC I immediately knew we were under attack.  As a new mother, with a baby that was only four months old at the time, my heart just broke thinking about how different I knew our world was going to be from that point on.  This summer, when I visited Ground Zero twice, I was consumed with the thought, “what have I personally done to try to make a difference since this happened”.  We share this world…it is going to take each and everyone of us to make it better for our children.  Last night, at the Boys and Girls Club dinner, Joe McGlamery said a great quote but I don’t know the author…

"Children represent 20% of our population but 100% of our future”

One last quote I love:  “You must be the change you want to see in the world”  Mahatma Gandhi

21st Wedding Anniversary

Tag: PersonalLori Grice @ 9:33 pm

D&L Wedding pict Tomorrow DeWayne and I will celebrate 21 years of marriage.  21 years later, and he still is keeping our life very interesting.  There is never a dull moment with him!  Tonight we had dinner at Dingus Magees.  We always eat there on our anniversary – because that is where we went on our first date.  We are looking forward to taking a day off tomorrow and spending it celebrating our anniversary.

Maybe we will get a super cool anniversary card with an amazing dessert coupon to Chops??
