I am a mother, wife and entrepreneur.  I discovered photography at the age of 12 while spending time with my uncle Gil Riggs in his camera store and one hour lab (Regency Photo http://www.regencyphoto.com/ in Statesboro, Georgia).  Little did I know how formidable these early years would be.  Like me, Gil is a real perfectionist.  He instilled in me the importance of quality throughout the photography process.  Unlike most photographers who learn the technical ins and outs of their camera first - Gil made me learn the lab side of the business first.  After I had mastered the lab - it was then time to master my equipment.

In 1987 while I was in college I began my photography business http://www.lorigrice.com/ .  It is hard to believe that I am celeberating my 20th year in business.  Each year is more exciting and presents opportunites that I never dreamed exsited.  With the introduction of digital technology the world of photography has NEVER been more exciting.

Throughout the years as I have grown my business I have worked to continue the basics of success taught to me by Gil.  This business, like everything in life, is truly a grow or die business.   I work just as hard today to learn new techniques to keep my work as fresh and exciting as it has always been.  I am just as humbled today, as I was the first session I created, by the confidence and creative freedom my clients afford me.  I understand more than ever today the awesome responsibility my clients instill in me each time they allow me to photograph their family.  I know that I am creating a portrait that will become the focal part of their home and their most valued heirloom.  Understanding this tremendous opportunity, I create each portrait as perfectly as possible in a way that tells thier story for generations to enjoy.

I have the best job in the world and I thank God daily for the opportunity to share his gifts through me with my clients every day.
