These guys are so special to us.  Too many stories to share on here.  Just know that they are like family…

{they all even invite us to their Easter lunch!}  

I have been photographing these guys their entire lives.  Boy I’ve had fun! 

We all see celebrities on TV and on the cover of magazines adopting children all over the world.  Wonderful acts of love, no doubt.  BUT…I have this philosophy…”save our own first”.  I must’ve learned that from these parents because that is just what they did when they couldn’t have babies.  They adopted newborns in Georgia that needed loving homes…even though they didn’t share the same skin color.

As tons of celebrities gear up to walk down the red carpet this weekend to get great awards, I think there are many folks like these that are true stars.  As they daily endure judging eyes while they are out in public, they continue to be the best parents they can be.  Thank you for inspiring me for six straight years.      

I know valentine’s day was a week ago but the snow distracted me from blogging some of the valentine’s sessions in a timely manner.  Hope your Valentine’s day was fabulous!

You have been watching this little guy grow up in Atlanta over the past two years. This year they wanted to capture him in Savannah.   I think I am still in trouble with Mom for messing up all the “no more monkey’s jumping on the bed” training.   I don’t mean to be a bad influence on kids…really…but this beautiful bed was just begging to be bounced on!  (yeah, the chair asked for it too…) 

It is so cool when I do Senior portraits then, years later, when the Senior becomes a Mom they continue to choose me to be their photographer.    (although it does make me feel a little old too…LOL!)  She really is an angel!

What a fun afternoon!  Great kids, beautiful weather and perfect light.  When these guys are my age they are going to cherish these memories.  Great-granddaddy’s tractor, Great Grandma’s flowers, Granddaddy and Grandma’s pond…

They don’t “got milk” but they got chickens.  It is not everyday that I get to use a real live chicken as a prop.  (but it won’t be long before the bunnies are here!)

I had a blast photographing these two beauties again.  This session was for their Christmas cards….which you are going to LOVE!  They were wonderful sports (as was mom) and allowed me the creative freedom to explore a few of places I have had my eye on for a while.   I have discovered some really really neat “new” places which you will see more of soon.

a few notes:  due to the exclusive nature of these events, payment must be made in full and in advance to reserve an appointment.  (please don’t ask us to make exceptions) there will be an absolutely non-refundable fee of $50 per session for the Statesboro appointments and $100 per session for the Savannah sessions.  please understand that reindeer food and Santa lodging has to be equally shared by all participants to make this opportunity available. 

  Don’t miss the Downtown Statesboro “Square on the Square” starting at 6pm on Halloween Night!  There will be tons of fun for the entire family.  The best part is we will be doing quick-take portraits that night by appointment.  The packages start at $35 and if you bring in 4 cans of people food or 4 big cans of pet food you will get an additional 5×7 of the same pose FREE!  Help us get the food bank and the humane society stocked up and capture a memory of your “little monster”.
