For the past two days - lots and lots of VERY good little boys and girls have had an early opportunity to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  Santa was very kind to sneak away from the North Pole for a few days to check things out at the studio.  We had one of the largest Santa events EVER.  The first day sold out just a few days after I posted the dates on the web.  We added a second day and you snapped up the sessions quickly.  So for those of you who did not make the list this year - Santa missed you and encourages you to BOOK EARLY next year.

Edie Grace and her cousin Olivia had a blast with Santa.  Nothing excites Edie Grace more than Santa’s visits to our studio.  She has been working hard on her list and even shared a few lists from her friends at school who could not make it to see Santa this year.

I realize how incredibly blessed I am to have some of the greatest clients in the world with the cutest children anywhere!  Thanks for making Santa’s visit terrific again this year!

 ONLY FOUR AVAILABLE - BOOK NOW!  We have scheduled a family (or just the kids) express session day outdoors, Tuesday, October 14.  This is during the week of the fair which is also fall break for Bulloch County schools.  We don’t have enough hours to offer express sessions during October and November so we thought we could make an exception for just one day.   These $299 express sessions will include the session fee, 25 Holiday cards and two 8×10’s (includes two poses–additional poses $25/pose).   Of course, as usual, we will take more than two poses and we won’t rush you through.  You will have your own scheduled time - so no lines.

For you persistent blog readers - you made it on the Santa list.  The Santa event ALWAYS sells out - but this is the first year we ONLY promoted it on the blog.  Our plan was to send out a newsletter with the information and give our blog readers an early opportunity to book.  We have established a waiting list of clients who can not pass up on Santa.  After much consideration - Santa and Mrs. Claus have agreed to come a day early.  This will be IT.  There will be NO MORE Santa appointments once these are committed to.  SO DO NOT PROCRASTINATE - please BOOK NOW. 

Here is the 411 on Santa: Santa has agreed to come a  SECOND day since the FIRST day has ALREADY SOLD OUT!!  He will be here on Monday, November 10th in addition to Tuesday, November 11th.  The 30 minute session will include a VIP Santa experience.  There will only be you and your family in the studio with Santa.  No lines - no disappointments!  You will come at your scheduled time and enjoy your time one on one with Santa and Mrs. Claus while I photograph the experience.  The package is $349 and includes the session and your choice of 4 8×10’s OR 25 Christmas cards plus two 8×10’s.  You will need to schedule your session and place order when you call - to insure you will get everything back for Christmas.

Next Saturday, August 30 the Georgia Southern Eagles will open their season between the hedges at Sanford Stadium in Athens when they take on the Georgia Bulldogs.  Well, I don’t have tickets yet - but I do have a great place to stay in walking distance of the stadium.  Over the past few weeks, many of you have called and emailed and wanted to know if I was coming to Athens.  One client would not take no for an answer and invited us to stay at their home.  You might say they are UGA super fans.

Thank you, Tim, and the Arts Center gang for bringing another great show to the ‘boro!  If you missed it, you can catch this talented group every Friday nite in Savannah, downtown, at the Crystal Beer Parlor.  Saturday’s event was a fund-raiser for the Averitt Center for the Arts and the Emma Kelly Theater, but don’t worry, you can still give a contribution to Tim, Delia, Connie or any of the folks over there that bring culture day-in and day-out to our community.  Speaking of culture, Edie Grace is a participant this week at NoJoe’s Circus Camp at the Arts Center.  She wants you to “save-the-date” for Friday nite @ 7:30 when her camp gets to perform with NoJoe in bringing a circus to the Emma Kelly Theater.

Every day when I open the paper or turn on the news I see another story about the terrible condition of our earth.  Almost daily I read about simple things each of us can do to help conserve energy and protect our planet.  Small things from recycling our cans, glass, plastic and newspapers to putting in low flow faucets and toilets.  Some things take a little more effort and money than others - but then again some are very simple.  A couple of years ago I started giving my clients a small tote bag with our logo on it.  The bags are green in color.  Many of you have told me how handy the bags are and some of you have even came in for replacements between sessions.  One special client who is very eco-conscious told me that she used her bag for grocery shopping.  This helps cut down waste by not having to get plastic or paper bags when she goes shopping.  Inside her LGP GREEN bag she puts other bags to bag her groceries.  She has been doing this for almost a year and has not had to use one additional bag from the grocery store.  This launched my GO GREEN initiative where I encourage each client to become more creative with the use of the bags.  In addition, the GREEN bags will hopefully be a gentle reminder of the importance of “going green” a little more each day.  Edie Grace loves going shopping with the GREEN LGP bags.

Recently, DeWayne and I had the opportunity to spend some time again with an inspiring couple from Atlanta who have wrote the book on going green.  They built and live in one of the most eco friendly homes in the world.  They named their home “ECO Manor” and the house even has its on website.  I encourage you to take a second to browse this web site and see how passionate they are about living more eco friendly.  They are certainly inspirations to each of us. 

If the couple seems familiar - it is probably because they are.  This husband and wife duo is Rutherford and Laura Seydel.  Rutherford is an Atanta Lawyer and is the owner of the Atlanta Hawks and the Atlanta Thrashers.  Laura is the daughter of Georgia’s most famous citizen Ted Turner (founder of CNN, TBS, Headline News)  I have spoken to Laura about her coming down to south Georgia soon and meet some of you and discuss her passion of sustaining and protecting our precious environment.  As a mother of three, Laura is determined to be an example not only for her family but also for the world.  I salute that green “girl power”!
